COURSE DESCRIPTION 

Outdoor Learning has so many benefits for children of all ages, encouraging learning in a non-formal way, developing confidence, resilience, and life skills not formally taught in nurseries, schools and enabling the child to develop a love for nature, and of course supports the child in achieving educational outcomes.  

Our course is taught by an experienced early years teacher who successfully developed an outdoor programme in Dubai, providing outdoor learning opportunities for children from FS1 – Yr6, with KHDA awarding a judgment of Outstanding on every inspection.

This course will provide the learner with the processes that took place, discuss the barriers to outdoor learning, and the different pedagogies on offer and help learners to put an action plan together for your nursery/ school. 

The course will look at linking the outdoors into the curriculum, possible schemes of work, and how loose parts and play are crucial in developing independent learners.

Part of the course will be practical, and fun and will highlight how cheap and cheerful resources can be used, so incorporating outdoor learning doesn’t have to break the bank.
