COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Early Years Foundation Stage training will provide a gentle introduction to the expectations of the EYFS and will also act as a refresher for those who want to update their knowledge.
The course will cover the overarching principles of the EYFS, with detailed activities around the learning and development requirements, covering the prime and specific areas of learning and highlighting how the educational programmes should influence the setting curriculum.
Approaches to teaching and learning will be covered with an emphasis on play as a teaching tool, and how observation and planning can support children in leading their own own learning. Our teaching and learning session will include the Characteristics of effective teaching and learning, ensuring that learners take into account learning and development considerations for individual children within their care.
