COURSE DESCRIPTION 

Join us in for a journey into Play, exploring vital play concepts and theories that support children’s early play experiences whilst understanding how play is essential for early years teaching practice. 

Benefits of play and play deprivation will be covered and learners will be encouraged to discuss play opportunities available within their setting and to work with others to develop key actions to improve the play offer they currently have. 

The training will cover the different range of play types and highlight how these can be embedded into daily practice, creating a holistic approach to playful learning and development. 

The training will cover the play cycle and look at interfering or interacting approaches, and how this contributes to children’s learning. The environment plays a key role in creating playful learning opportunities; therefore, the training will include an overview of nurturing environments and how these can be developed with minimal cost.
